New seasons of life bring changes. We're seeing it right now as the autumn leaves begin falling. I'm also experiencing it as I took my three children to their schools this year ... away from me:) With change fear naturally follows as we suddenly see and feel nothing familiar.
This morning I came across this quote: "Don't be afraid of your fears. They're not there to scare you. They're there to let you know that something is worth it. (C.JoyBell C.)" Ah, there is a light at the end of the tunnel ... I will become comfortable with the unfamiliar and something beautiful will be the result. So, because of this hope I am grateful for my fear. After all, nothing is permanent and change is inevitable, so approaching it with gratitude may not only ease my feelings but allow me to discover the gifts right in front of me -- my marriage, friendships, health, faith, and many, many more!
My challenge this week .... make notes of the new opportunities I have because I have no children living with us. I'll keep you posted!
"For I am the Lord. your God who takes hold of your right and and says to you, 'Do not fear; I will help you.'"
