My love of antiques was the inspiration for this collection As a child many hours were spend in my parent’s antique shop. I was particularly drawn to the bright, shiny gold leaf gilded frames that sparkled amongst the beautiful dark English furniture . My appreciation the art of gilding grew. Several years ago I mastered this ancient art and created collection of Christmas ornaments. When I learned many collectors were displaying them throughout the year, I incorporated into year-round themes as they make beautiful appointment for the home — in the window or shelf or, on a stack of books!

Handmade gilded gold leaf metal ornament adorned with a ribbon and packaged in a drawstring organza gift bag.

I begin the process with a crude piece of cut metal and sheets of gold leaf. Layer after layer the ornament is transformed into a beautiful work of art.
